2 Connect the other end of the cable to either an Ethernet outlet
jack or to an RJ-45 port on a UTP concentrator or hub in the
network.
Cabling Restrictions for Networks
The following restrictions should be observed for 100BASE-T
networks:
The maximum cable run length should be 100 meters (328 feet).
For 100 Mbps operation, use Category 5 wiring and connections.
Consult a Windows
®
manual for the software installation,
configuration, and operation of the network.
Wireless LAN
Wi-Fi LAN Adapter
Your new V1250 comes with a built-in Wireless LAN adapter. This allows you
to access and transmit data wirelessly to an access point. Consult your network
administrator for instructions on connecting your wireless adapter to the
network.
Your V1250 is equipped with a Built in Wireless Network adapter. Follow the
steps below to set up your wireless connection or contact your network
administrator for assistance.
1 Click on Start->Connect to->Wireless Network Connection
2 If this is the first time, a Window will be displayed that shows all available
networks. Choose the network name desired and enter the network key on
the 2 fields provided (leave blank if network is not encrypted). Click
Connect.
3 If there is already a network configured and you want to add more, do
Step#1 and a Wireless Connection Status will pop up.
4 Click on Properties and then click the Wireless Networks Tab.
5 If you see the network you want to add on the Available Networks window,
click that connection and then Configure. Enter the Network Key and other
information if necessary, and then click Okay.
6 If you do not see your network, click Add and enter the necessary
information including the Network Name and Keys, and then click Okay.
