Safety
Operate the TV only on 120 – 240 V
AC.
Use the AC power cord specied by
ViewSonic and suitable for the
voltage where you use it.
The plug is designed, for safety
purposes, to t into the wall outlet only
one way. If you are unable to insert
the plug fully into the outlet, contact
your dealer.
If any liquid or solid object should fall
inside the cabinet, stop operating,
unplug the TV immediately and have it
check by qualied service technician.
If you will not be using the TV for a
long time, disconnect the power by
pulling the plug itself. Do not pull on
the cord.
For details concerning safety
precautions, refer to “Important Safety
instructions” on page 2.
Installation
The TV should be installed near an
easily accessible power outlet.
To prevent internal heat buildup, do
not block the ventilation openings.
Do not install the TV in a hot or
humid place, or in a place subject
to excessive dust or mechanical
vibration.
Avoid operating the TV at
temperatures below 41°F (5°C).
When the TV is transported directly
form a cold to a warm location, or
if the room temperature changes
suddenly, the picture may be
blurred or show poor color due to
moisture condensation. In this
case, please wait a few hours
before turning on the TV, in order
to let the moisture evaporate rst.
To ensure best picture quality, do not
expose the screen to direct
illumination or sunlight. We
recommend you use spot lighting
directed down from the ceiling or to
cover the windows that face the
screen with opaque curtains. It is
better that TV is installed where the
oor and walls are not of a reective
material.

expertise is required .Make sure you
subcontract the installation to
ViewSonic dealer or licensed
contractors and pay adequate
attention to safety during the
installation.
Note
This television includes a QAM
demodulator, which should allow you to
receive unscrambled digital cable
television programming via
subscription service to a cable service
provider. The type of programming
and signal provided by your cable
service provider will affect the
availability of digital cable television
programming in your area.
